When I’m at shows or chatting on Icq with someone for the first time, the question I am always asked of course is how I started in the industry.

The answer to that starts almost two years ago when I met this hot red head named Rocki… you may know her.

About 9 months after we met she invited me to tag along with her to a little show here in town called The Phoenix Forum. It was there that I met and became friends with a lot of people who work in the industry.

Coming from a background in banking and finance, I was definitely intrigued by an industry that seemed to hold a party every month. Not to mention I have always been a fan of porn and have never really been judmental or shy when it comes to the topic.

So flash forward 8 months and I got the word that Timbo was looking for someone to handle marketing and promotions, and I was looking for a change. We got in contact (I called him begging, hehe) and here I am!

So far I have met some of the coolest and most interesting people I have known in a while. I’m having a great time and learning so much.

Anyhow, as I said, I attended last years Phoenix Forum and have also hit a few other industry events since then. I went through and found a bunch of old pics from these events and it’s fun to see faces of people I didn’t really know then and now have started to form friendships and relationships with.

So rumor has it the Roosevelt Hotel where Xbiz took place is haunted, but the closest thing I got to a scare in L.A. was when I was stuck in the elevator for about three minutes. (It really was pretty spooky considering I was trapped in there with the guys from JBM. *Shivers*) I joke! I joke!

Seriously though, Xbiz was a hit. The kickoff party the first night was an absolute blast and probably the spot where I saw the most new faces and talked a lot of biz… and drank my share of vodka redbulls. I enjoy these as well as a nice Pinot Noir or an amaretto sour, just in case you spot me at a show and get that urge. (*wink wink, nudge nudge*)

The .XXX TLD “debate” as I like to call it was informative and exciting, but can someone please screen the questions they allow people to ask in the future? Seriously. I’ll do it if there are no other volunteers.

The poolside mix and mingle was a blast and a great way to kick off my second night at Xbiz. Then I headed out to Le Deux nightclub with some of the JBM crew and a few other fan favorites including that little hottie friend of mine Miss Punker Barbie.

And last but not least were the Xbiz Awards. Tera Patrick looked amazing of course and the show kept a perfect pace the whole way through. Once again, Congrats to all the winners!

All in all, the parties were rad, the women were hot, the men were… well, they were men.

So when it came time to decide what my first Industry show would be after joining the team at Adult Paymaster, we figured why not go all in and send a girl to Viva Las Vegas! It’s been a week since I left the Sin City Internext Convention now and the sore throat is finally gone, both my voice and my mind are back at 100% capacity and I have caught up on all of that lost REM sleep! So was it worth the 3 days I spent sick in bed after? The answer to that question is a resounding oh yes it was!

My first stop was the GFY kickoff party Sunday night, and I’m pretty sure I didn’t stop again for the rest of the week.
During my time there I was able to hit up the Epoch Penthouse Party, the notorious Players Ball and was also treated to dinner at Stack inside Ceasar’s by Mr. Brad Shaw and a few of the other good folks at JBM, followed by the V.I.P. treatment at Pure. A very big thanks to Brad, Chris and Greg for the invite. The Island Bar was also a hot spot anytime of the day or night and I put in my time there as well!

Of course there was business to be done & people to meet so I also made the rounds on the showroom floor and put faces to names, names to faces, and a stack of business cards in my wallet.The quieter and more modest atmosphere of the floor made it easy to hit up the booths and shake hands with several Industry folks.

(And I scored a ton of swag & free porn, yes!)

In closing an easy way to sum up my first show in Vegas is as follows: business, pleasure, pleasure, pleasure, business, pleasure, head-ache, business.
